POWERply® SBS Base HW

High Performance, Smooth Surfaced, Reinforced Heat Weldable MB Membrane

The POWERply SBS Base HW (heat weld) base sheet is designed for use in hot air, heat welded (torch applied) multi-ply roof and flashing systems that call for a high strength, bilaminate reinforced membrane.

Composition:

The POWERply SBS Base HW base sheet is a smooth surfaced modified bitumen membrane that consists of specially selected bitumens, modified with compatible SBS elastomers and reinforced with a composite polyester/fiberglass core. It is furnished with a sanded top surfacing and a burn-off polyethylene sheet laminated on the underside of the membrane. POWERply SBS Base HW is asbestos free and exceeds the requirements of ASTM D 6162, Type III.
