The Wastewater Treatment Facility in Barrie, Ontario had significant roofing and safety challenges, requiring a comprehensive solution. The facility needed extensive repairs, including structural reinforcement, weatherproofing and a lasting guarantee of durability. With a commitment to innovation and results, Tremco tackled the full restoration of the building including roof coating, concrete surface profile and expansion joints with expert precision.
The remediation began with detailed concrete repairs, leveling and reinforcement using Eucoweld 2.0 and TAMMSpatch 2 around critical tank areas, improving structural integrity and of the roof. Between the tanks, Willseal 250 was used for restoration of the horizontal expansion joints between tanks. The advanced Alphaguard MTS coatings was then applied for superior UV-resistance and durability from the wear and tear that comes from exposure to the elements over time. A non-skid topcoat was added to enhance safety for workers, especially in wet or winter conditions.
Ultimately, the City of Barrie and the building owner wanted a long-lasting system without needing interim repairs and maintenance, so they were very happy with the results and warranty ensuring an extended roof life for the facility.
