The TremLock ® T-138 Shingle Recover System is a 1-3/8” tall, symmetrical panel that is manufactured from 24 or 22 gauge Galvalume®, an aluminum-zinc alloy, coated with the Kynar 500®/Hylar 5000® paint system, and roll-formed at the factory or in the field. It gives building owners a long-term, economical solution because it keeps the existing shingle roof in place. The system’s many advantages include ease of installation, individual panel replaceability and improved weathertightness. It installs directly over existing shingles without tear off or underlayment. Patented clips create an energy-saving airspace between the two roofs. The TremLock T-138 metal roof can also be installed directly on the deck in new construction or for a roof replacement.
